Some parents choose to start 11 plus tuition in Year 4 and others in Year 5. It depends entirely on your child’s current ability and areas of development.
So many children are tutored nowadays therefore the competition for grammar school places is much more fierce. We believe that some form of familiarisation is key. We will give your child the best possible chance in securing a place through our tried and tested programme. We will endeavour to get to know your child and focus on their strengths and areas of development. You will find that this form of tuition is beneficial in promoting all round progress in English and Mathematics at school.
We complete a baseline assessment in order to identify areas of development. Regular feedback will be provided to you. If your child is struggling with 11 plus tuition than 11 plus suitability will be discussed.
The course is taught be qualified teachers and the lessons are interactive, fun yet challenging. We have extensive experience in teaching national curriculum subjects at school and 11 plus so it’s a ‘win-win’ situation. We go the extra mile to prepare your child mentally for the exams, under exam conditions; boosting their confidence to achieve a high success rate.
Our classes are limited to 8 pupils in each group. This, is turn, ensures each child receives more 1:1 time with their teacher, allowing more opportunities for feedback.
No, the materials used are all included in the course fees. Your child will receive a resource pack at the beginning of the programme, which includes all required stationary.
Children are very adaptable. They will adjust quickly to the lesson structure and will thrive on a weekly routine. The children will be given short brain breaks between each element of the lesson.
